Altered Reflection One & Two, original acrylic paintings. Earlier artworks in the Progressive Regression collection. Both canvases measure 18" x 24" with a 3/4" depth.
Altered Reflections One & Two are earlier works where I started employing the use of mannequins and mannequin busts. I wanted to take lifeless figures and make them feel alive with color and paint strokes. These earlier works gave me the opportunity to play around with color and depth and would eventually lead to the creation of Alien Luminescence. Altered Reflections One & Two and Alien Luminescence are paintings of the same mannequin bust but show the progression of complexity, painting techniques, and color palettes that were developed in between their creations.
